1. Kansas Falls to Northern Iowa. I don't know who hates Ali Farokhmanesh more, Bill Self or my spell check. I can't spell his name without a roster in front of me but I can spell clutch and that is what he turned out to be. Bracket had the Jayhawks winning it all but UNI had other ideas. This one hurt the most, no words just grief.
2. Cornell living but not dying by the 3. Big Red shot 50% from behind the arc against Wisconsin. They haven't even needed buzzer beaters to win a game yet, they are are leading for the entire game and winning by double digits.
3. Xavier came to play. For the third straight year, Xavier is in the Sweet 16. You would think Bracket would have would learn by now. Pitt bounced the Musketeers last year's Final 16 but Round 2 goes to Xavier. I never thought Jamie Dixon's crew would have so much trouble defending come tournament time, but they did. Jordan Crawford hung 27 on Pitt to put them through.
4. Notre Dame got bounced in the first round. It happened all the way back on Thursday, but it put Bracket on life support. Bracket never thought it would be pretty but he thought that the slow burn offense would keep them in enough games that Harangody could win in the last minute. Bracket saw it happening 3 times in the tournament to no avail.

Without the winnings of this year's office pool, he will no longer have the opportunity to make it rain on his coworkers at an office wide meeting of his choosing and prevent him from surviving of a diet of Ramen Noodles and CiCi's Pizza Buffet for the next month.
